Car Collection Motorsport is bringing two 2019 spec Audi R8 LMS Evos to the 8th edition of the Gulf 12 Hours at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on 15 December, and to the second round of the inaugural Gulf Sportscar Championship on 6-7 December at the Dubai Autodrome.
Car Collection Motorsport will compete in the Pro and the Pro-Am category, with Dimitri Parhofer sharing the cockpit of the Pro car with Audi Sport factory drivers Christopher Haase and Markus Winkelhock.
The second car is piloted by Dirg Parhofer, Ali Capan, Isaac Tutumlu-Lopez and Peter Schmidt.
“This is the perfect conclusion of the 2018 season for us,” says Car Collection Motorsport Team Manager Denis Ferlemann. “We’re looking forward to see the new Evo kit for the Audi R8 LMS during racing conditions,” he continues.
Dimitri Parhofer will also compete at the second sprint round of the Gulf Sportscar Championship at the Dubai Autodrome on 6-7 December and the remaining rounds in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in January and February 2019.
“We will race the whole championship and look forward to it. If we find an additional driver, we might even enter our second car for the sprint race,” says Ferlemann. “The cars are already in the region and racing here in the Middle East is always something special.”
Race Organisers have told DSC that a c.30 car overall entry is expected for the Gulf 12 Hours – c.20 GT3 cars set to be joined by 6-7 GT4s and a trio of LMP3s
