A second significant GT racing debutant for Abu Dhabi enduro

The new for 2019 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 is set to make its global racing debut at next month’s Gulf 12 Hours (15 December), the race debut a part of a recently announced partnership between Aston Martin and Yas Marina Circuit.

The new GT4 car will be campaigned by the factory Aston Martin Racing team with the driver squad still to be confirmed.

And the GT4 version of the Vantage will become a common sight for visitors to the Abu Dhabi circuit as six identical cars are set to be based there as the venue becomes the official ‘home’ of the British marque in the Middle East.

The newly established Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT) team, headed by regional President Dan Balmer, will be based at Yas Marina Circuit owner’s, Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management, headquarters with the Vantage GT4s joining the circuits racing/ training fleet.

The Aston Martin Vantage GT4 will race alongside a trio of the new Vantage GT3 cars entered by partner teams TF Sport, Beechdean AMR and R-Motorsport.

The GT4 Vantage joins the McLaren 720S GT3 on the provisional c.30 car entry as cars making their global race debuts at the 2018 race.
