The entry list for the Lone Star Le Mans event at the Circuit of the Americas on 22/23 February features a very welcome addition as Corvette Racing field a single C8.R for what will be the new for 2020, mid-engined car’s second race start after the IMSA season-opening Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona.
No drivers are yet listed for the Corvette, part of a 31 car entry for the 6-hour race that will replace the cancelled WEC event at Interlagos.
It’s the latest in a series of one-off appearances in the FIA WEC for Corvette after outings last season at Shanghai and Sebring as well, of course as the Le Mans 24 Hours.
