SMP Racing’s BR1 LMP1 car is set to make a return, but not to the FIA WEC!
Instead, the car, which was not entered in the current season of the WEC after racing to a podium finish at the 2019 Le Mans 24 Hours, will star, in animated form, produced by the Mercator Animation studio, in the first Russian cartoon series about racing, set to air of the country’s main children’s programme, Good night, Little Ones!
The new series, Super Rally, will be revealed on February 11 at a private media screening, set to be attended by SMP’s Boris Rotenberg, drivers Vitaly Petrov and Sergei Sirotkin, and by Vladimir Medinsky, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation.
The main character in the show is based around the BR Engineering BR1, one of 12 ‘heroes’ in the new show which will launch with a season of 6-minute episodes.
