The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship will return to racing after the delays caused by the COVID19 crisis with a 2 hour 40-minute race on 4 July behind closed doors at Daytona International Speedway as part of a significantly revised calendar.
The event, with practice on 3 July and qualifying on the morning of race day means that the 2020 season will feature back to back events at Daytona.
Round three will now be at Sebring International Raceway two weekends later on 17-18 July for another 2 hour 40-minute race, again behind closed doors.
Further changes have seen the planned race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park cancelled, and the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen moved back to 1-4 October. Lime Rock’s planned race moves from 18 July to 30-31 October.
