Konrad Motorsport Set To Race Ginetta LMP3?

2022 Asian Le Mans Series a potential debut

Konrad Motorsport has obtained a current spec Ginetta LMP3 car, the car is already in full team livery and awaiting a decision/ announcement on a programme.

DSC sources have suggested that one strong possibility is a full season in the 2022 Asian Le Mans Series with the potential that Franz Konrad himself, now aged 70, may appear as a driver.

Franz has appeared only sporadically in the drivers seat in recent years, most recently in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo event at Misano last year where he scored a pair of strong finishes in the Pro-Am class.

Whilst there have been more recent outings both in the VLN and Nürburgring 24 Hours as well as in IMSA appearances, centred around the Rolex 24 Hours, Konrad’s last driving start in ACO rules racing came in the 2004 Le Mans Series in a Vitaphone Saleen S7R.

Attempts to contact the team by DSC have thus far been unsuccessful.

The Ginetta meanwhile has been obtained as an un-raced example from a UK owner and is one of the first batch of three customer cars.
