Team Joos Sportwagentechnik has released the livery its Porsche 991 GT3 R will don at the 2022 Hankook 24H DUBAI.
Porsche specialist Team Joos, a stalwart in Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland that also completed its first full season in ADAC GT Masters in 2021, is set to make its 24H SERIES debut at the Dubai Autodrome on 13-14-15 January. The team is one of 28 entries already registered in the GT3 category, and one of seven Porsche 991 GT3 Rs set to compete.
“We’re really looking forward to the 24-hour race!” team manager Michael Joos explains. “After the finale of the ADAC GT Masters, there was little time to prepare everything for the race, but the car is now on its way to Dubai by ship.”
Team Joos has also confirmed that team manager Michael Joos will drive the #27 Porsche 991 GT3 R with Steffen Görig, Friedel Bleifuss, and former GP3 runner Jannes Fittje at the Hankook 24H DUBAI.
While Joos, Fittje and Bleifuss will make their respective 24H SERIES debuts at the event, Steffen Görig already has starts to his name with Herberth Motorsport and SPS automotive performance, at Dubai 2021 and Monza 2020, and Paul Ricard 2021 respectively. The German driver’s first event, the 2020 Hankook 12H MONZA, also produced a maiden podium finish with 2nd overall.
