Nielsen Racing will this week take delivery of the Oreca 07 that they will use for the 2022 Asian Le Mans Series.
The brand new car, chassis 89 and running number #4 for Asian Le Mans, could well emerge as a serious title contender, the Nielsen Racing team set to field a top Pro to headline the effort alongside a single car in LMP3.
The squad has a rapid programme of shakedown and rig testing planned pre and post delivery with the Nielsen team also timetabling plenty of workshop time in January to work to understand their new asset before the car is air-freighted to Dubai for the start of the Series.
Further announcements are set to come early in the New Year including confirmation of the team’s Asian Le Mans Series driver line-ups, plus plans for the European Le Mans Series and Michelin Le Mans Cup where the team are defending Champions with Tony Wells and Colin Noble.
