Multiple MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi has confirmed that he will not attend this weekend’s Gulf 12 Hours after discovering that he has had close contact with an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19, and has subsequently self-isolated.
His team-mates Luca Marini and Alessio “Uccio” Salucci are not affected by the issue and will race on with David Fumanelli in the Kessel Racing-run #46 Ferrari 488 GT3.
The race, composed of two back-to-back 6-hour segments gets underway on Saturday.
