Multimatic Motorsports and Ford Performance are set to take the wraps off the 2024 Ford Mustang GT3 at the ‘Super Sebring’ race meeting in March 2023.
The car, to be built at Multimatic Motorsports in Mooresville, North Carolina, powered by an MSport-developed Coyote-based V8 engine is set for both an IMSA GTD Pro campaign (with Multimatic set to run the factory programme) and customer sales, interest in which is understood to be very considerable.
At last month’s launch of the next generation roadgoing Mustang, dynamic CGI video images were shown of the new car’s future racing stable mates, including the GT3 and GT4 racing derivatives. The real thing in GT3 form is currently undergoing the final stages of a full year of engineering ahead of another year of extensive testing/development.
The Mustang GT3 car is set to make its homologated race debut at Daytona in 2024.

The new car looks awesome and the Dark Horse for sure appears to be a great replacement for my Gen 6 GT that met with an unfortunate slippery end.”
In addition to the GT3 version of the car, Multimatic is also creating a new Mustang GT4.
The GT4 will be available for customers to race during the 2023 season.
Multimatic Motorsports will provide customer support for the new generation GT3 and GT4 Ford Mustangs around the globe.
