Tim Heinemann completed his DTM Trophy Championship winning season in style. With the Toyota Supra run by the Toyota Gazoo Racing Germany powered by Ring-Racing team, he claimed victory in the final race of the season at Hockenheim on Sunday.
Sixth place was enough to see the Championship on Saturday despite his closest rival, Colin Caresani claiming victory in Race 1 with his Project 1 BMW.
It is Heinemann’s second DTM Trophy title win after winning the Championship in 2020 too.
Welcome Back Colin
Ginetta Supercup veteran and long-time 24H Series regular Colin White was welcomed back into the paddock at Brands Hatch over the weekend after being released from hospital to recover from the injuries suffered in a huge accident with fellow racer Mike Brown at Thruxton on 28 August.

The Brands Hatch meeting marked the final appearance of the Ginetta Juniors on the BTCC package and the final race of the GT4 Supercup, set to be replaced by a new Series on the British GT package in 2023.
GT Cup Championships Settled
Orange Racing with JMH Automotive’s Simon Orange and Michael O’Brien took the GT Cup Championship overall title, sealing the win with a race victory on Saturday, Enduro Motorsport king the other Saturday win in another McLaren with Hugo Cook taking a double win on Sunday in his Mercedes AMG GT3.
Simon Orange becomes the first two-time winner of the Championship.
It was another good weekend in the classes too from TopCats Racing with Hex.com with wins in both GTC for their Lamborghini Super Trofe and in GTA for the team’s Ginetta G55, the husband and wife-run effort of Warren and Charlotte Gilbert narrowly missing out on the overall teams title to Orange Racing with JMH but taking class honours galore.
