Scott Andrews and Gerry Kraut will contest the 2023 Michelin Le Mans Cup with United Autosports, the Anglo-American team’s first confirmed entry in its anticipated four-car Ligier entry.
Miami-based Australian Andrews made his United début in 2018 for the final two rounds of the European Le Mans Series, winning his first race with the team (Spa) then placing third (Portimão).
American Gerry Kraut, who is based in the State of Minnesota, made his Michelin Le Mans Cup debut in 2017, and drove for United for the first time in the 2021 MLMC with Scott.
The duo, who first drove together in the 2017 IMSA Prototype Challenge collecting numerous podiums, finished second at Barcelona in ’21 before winning the Monza round that year, ultimately claiming fifth place in the MLMC Driver’s standings.
This year, Scott and Gerry have competed independently in selected IMSA races Stateside.
Gerry Kraut: “Scott and I only raced together in the US once this year, as his status as a Gold driver limited our options. Therefore, I am very much looking forward to a full season with Scott in Europe. And, of course, being back with United makes it all that more enjoyable.”
