Italian racing team, Iron Lynx have announced that Iron Dames Doriane Pin and Michelle Gatting will race as an all-female line-up in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Grand Finals which runs from November 1-6.
They will compete in the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, with the Grand Finals taking place in Portimão at the end of the six-round Super Trofeo Europe season, the event coming on the following weekend from the Ferrari Finali Mondiali that saw Doriane Pin crowned as the European Ferrari Challenge Champion.
Whilst it is a return to the Lamborghini single-make series for the team (see below) the move is likely the first of several expected steps for Iron Lynx, Iron Dames and their associated Prema Team, towards a factory-level partnership with Lamborghini across GT3 racing in 2023 and then HyperCar and GTP racing in 2024.

The team’s GTE programmes meanwhile are set to be confirmed in conjunction with the Proton Competition team in Porsche 911 RSRs for 2023 in the FIA WEC and ELMS.
The Iron Dames is a special project set up by entrepreneur and driver Deborah Mayer to encourage more women into motorsport at all levels, from drivers to mechanics, as well as managers. The project has achieved a number of historic moments for females in the sport, including being the first females to win numerous races and championship titles.
Doriane Pin and Michelle Gatting return to Portimão after becoming the first all-female line-up to win a race in the European Le Mans Series in October, delivering a dominant drive at the Portuguese circuit to win the LM GTE class by over a lap.

Iron Lynx began its story in Lamborghini Super Trofeo back in 2018; this is the first time the team will race in this championship since 2019.
