Walkenhorst Motorsport have revealed the livery that their #34 BW M4 GT3 will carry for the Asian Le Mans Series. The team are yet to reveal their driver one-up but DSC believes that it is likely to be a crew to challenge for class honours in a packed GT3 field.
Close examination of the images here reveals the name of Nick Catsburg, the 2023 Corvette driver still with close links at BMW, and with the Asian Series not featuring any GM contenders there is no clash of loyalties!
DKR Engineering’s Oreca 07 is en route to Dubai ahead of February’s Asian Le Mans Series with the multiple LMP3 Championship-winning team looking to add an LMP2 title to their trophy cabinet.
Last week meanwhile saw the Porsche Night of Champions and the festivities included the crowning of the winner of the 2022 Porsche Cup, a long-standing award to the most successful privately entered Porsche driver of the year.
The 2022 winner is the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series GT Champion Ralf Bohn. He follows on with success in the contest from Herberth Motorsport team co-owner Robert Renauer, twice a winner in 2016 and 2020.
Amongst the prized for the Porsche Cup in 2022 an enormous 150,000 Euro sum to spend on a Porsche road car of the winners’ choice.
