GetSpeed Confirm Asian Le Mans Drivers & Liveries

GetSpeed will make its first appearance in the Asian Le Mans Seres this season with two Mercedes-AMG GT3 entries.

Raffaele Marciello, Fabian Schiller and Florian Scholze start in the #10 Mercedes-AMG GT3 with a retro design for the 10th anniversary of the GetSpeed team.

The sister #16 AMG is shared by the Chinese Zhou Bihuang, Wang Zhongwei and Alexandre Imperatori.

“We’re starting our first race weekend in 2023 highly motivated. The feeling reminds me a bit of 2013, when we contested our first races with our team,” says team boss Adam Osieka. “In the meantime, we’ve had countless successes, so we’re confident for the races in the Asian Le Mans Series as well. With Raffaele and Fabian, we have two of the currently strongest GT3 drivers in the team, who form a powerful trio together with the lightning-fast bronze driver Florian. Our goal is to finish on the podium at every race.”

Raffaele Marciello already contested the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with GetSpeed in 2021 whilst Fabian Schiller has been closely associated with GetSpeed since 2016, when he completed his first assignments with the team as part of the Nürburgring Endurance Series in a Cup Porsche.

Florian Scholze has also been successful with GetSpeed. In 2020 he won the Am title in the International GT Open, in 2021 he competed in the GT World Challenge.

Swiss-German racing driver Alexandre Imperatori has competed in many races in Asia in his career and knows the scene extremely well. From 2006 he drove in the Asian Formula Renault Challenge, the Japanese Formula 3, the Formula Nippon and finally the Super GT. In recent years, the 35-year-old has made a name for himself in GT and prototype racing. The two Chinese Zhou Bihuang and Wang Zhongwei contested races in the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup.

The Asian Le Mans Series comprises a total of four races over two weekends. The special feature is that LMP2 and LMP3 vehicles start the race together with the GT3 cars. A total of 48 teams start in Dubai. After the start, things continue just a week later in Abu Dhabi. At the Yas Marina Circuit, GetSpeed finished fourth in the Gulf 12 Hours on its debut in the International GT Challenge in December.
