Two cars in WEC, one In ELMS

As exclusively reported by DSC back in October 2022, Iron Lynx have confirmed the final details of their single season effort in GTE with Porsche 911 RSRs prepared in conjunction with Proton Competition.

The collaboration will see a single #60 Porsche fielded in the 2023 European Le Mans Series for Claudio Schiavoni, Matteo Cressoni and Porsche Motorsport Driver Matteo Cairoli.

In the FIA WEC, Claudio Schiavoni and Matteo Cressoni the #60 Iron Lynx Porsche together with Alessio Picariello.

The team will also field the #83 Iron Dames Porsche in the WEC for the returning trio of Rahel Frey, Michelle gatting and Sarah Bovy. The ‘Dames’ will not return to the ELMS in 2023 after a campaign that netted the same trio a race win in the season finale at Portimao last year.

The programme with Proton and Porsche provides a bridging arrangement for the team in the final year of the GTE regulations as Iron Lynx transition from Ferrari to Lamborghini.

Iron Lynx Team Principal, Andrea Piccini, said: “We are excited to add another championship to our 2023 racing calendar and continue our ELMS campaign for another year.

“It is great to see some new faces in the Iron Lynx car #60 line-up this season. I’d like to wish Matteo Cairoli and Alessio Picariello a very warm welcome to the team, I am looking forward to working together.”
