HSR and IMSA run Rennsport Reunion 7 track action at Laguna
Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) and its parent company IMSA will co-sanction the on-track action at the upcoming Rennsport Reunion 7 at Laguna Seca on September 28th to October 1st.
The first Rennsport Reunion in five years, RR7, coincides with the 75th Anniversary year of Porsche and this year’s theme is “Icons of Porsche.”
IMSA will officiate a Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America doubleheader, a contemporary addition to the RR7 programme. North America’s premier Porsche one-make race series made its 2023 debut earlier this month at Sebring International Raceway with a pair of 40-minute races won by Riley Dickinson.
“When IMSA and HSR announced the acquisition at last year’s Rolex 24 At Daytona, we knew it was only a matter of time before our plans of working together on a co-sanctioned event weekend would become a reality,” said IMSA President John Doonan.
“And for IMSA and HSR to be able to work our first event together as part of a Rennsport Reunion at the amazing WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca makes it that much better. The HSR-run events will give the huge crowd in attendance an opportunity to celebrate Porsche icons of the past while the IMSA Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup races will provide the current and ultra-competitive racing that only an all-Porsche series can deliver.”
Multiple ELMS liveries revealed

Graff Le Mans Cup line-ups revealed
Graff has revealed the four drivers that will compete with it in the 2023 Michelin Le Mans Cup season.
Graff’s #8 Ligier JS P320 will be driven by an Australian duo, Fraser Ross, twice category winner of the 12 Hours of Bathurst; and George Nakas who will make his racing debuts in Europe following a solid experience in historic racing in Australia.
The French team’s second Ligier JS P320 (#39) will be driven by Irishman Lucca Allen, reigning LMP3 Ultimate Cup Series champion with the team, and British racer James Sweetnam, graduating from British Radical championships and who placed 5th in Asian Le Mans Series last winter in LMP3.
Schumacher confirmed for World Challenge Australia opener
Brad Schumacher is set to compete in the opening round of the 2023 World Challenge Australia season at Bathurst over the Easter weekend in his Schumacher Motorsport Am class Audi R8 LMS Evo II GT3.
Bathurst-based Schumacher has been a regular in the GT championship for the past three years, winning the Trophy class in 2021 and finishing second in that same class last year, despite missing some events while he stepped up to Pro-Am.
The Hi-Tech Oils Bathurst 6 Hour will be held over the Easter weekend from April 7-9.
