Jani signed for Audi F1 sim work

2016 Le Mans 24 Hours winner Neel Jani has been signed by Audi as a simulator driver for the German brand’s forthcoming 2026 Formula 1 entry.

As part of his new role with Audi, the Swiss will “support the development of the Audi power unit”. Jani has a wealth of previous experience in an F1 sim from his time spent as a test and reserve driver at Red Bull Racing.

“I am delighted to accompany Audi on their way into Formula 1. It is both an honor and a great responsibility to be involved in a project of this magnitude at an early stage. I am sure that with my experience from Formula 1 and LMP projects I can forge good links between theory and practice,” said Jani.
