The 2024 FIA Driver Categorisations have been published.
As always the list includes some noteworthy names as drivers and teams work towards their programmes for next season though the manner of the initial publication is causing no little confusion.
Whilst the list shows an effective date of the next categorisation against a large number of drivers it is readily apparent that a significant number of these will have no change –
Several high-performing Bronze drivers appear to be re-graded as Silver including Ahmad Al Harthy, Sarah Bovy and Salih Yoluc.
As always a number of ‘Super Silvers’ appear to be uprated to Gold with Casper Stevenson, Nico Varrone Rui Andrade and David Beckmann amongst the 2024 ‘alumni’.
Drivers wishing to contest the decisions now have a 7-day appeal window before the categorisation is finalised.
