Tipo 6 LMH visits Multimatic

The Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 LMH Competizione’s testing and developmental phase continued this week with a visit to Multimatic’s centre in the UK to test its shock absorber settings.

According to Isotta, the next step for the car is a further shakedown before a forthcoming previously-planned test later this month.

38 cars for Pilot Challenge finale

38 cars feature on the entry for the 2023 Michelin Pilot Challenge finale at Road Atlanta on Friday.

It’s set to be a thrilling finale, as both classes feature three-way title battles.

In GS the #96 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 with co-drivers Robby Foley and Vin Barletta is 60 points ahead of the #71 Rebel Rock Racing Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R with drivers Robin Liddell and Frank DePew. The #72 Murillo Racing Mercedes-AMG GT GT4 shared by Kenny Murillo and Christian Szymczak is just 70 points out of first.

And in TCR the #33 Bryan Herta Autosport with Curb-Agajanian Hyundai Elantra N TCR (co-drivers Robert Wickens and Harry Gottsacker) is 20 points up on the #17 Unitronic/JDC-Miller MotorSports Audi RS3 LMS TCR (co-drivers Chris Miller and Mikey Taylor), with the #98 BHA Hyundai (co-drivers Mark Wilkins and Mason Filippi) 130 points behind their teammates.

Johnson pays United a visit

NASCAR legend Jimmie Johnson was given a tour of United Autosports’ collection of contemporary and historic racecars at its Yorkshire base yesterday, by team co-owner Zak Brown.

This visit follows Johnson’s recent run at the Spa Six Hours in a Ford GT40 which he shared with Marino and Dario Franchitti.

Grosjean’s first Lambo test

Former Formula One driver Romain Grosjean has confirmed via his social media channels that he has turned his first laps aboard a Lamborghini SC63 LMDh.

This comes after Lamborghini recently recieved a brand new test chassis following Mirko Bortolotti’s accident at Paul Ricard back in September.

The Frenchman was confirmed as a Lamborghini factory driver, assigned to the LMDh project, last December.
