Westbrook & Van Der Helm Pair Up For 2024 GTP Campaign With JDC

Keating joins the team for Rolex 24

JDC-Miller MotorSports has confirmed that Richard Westbrook and Tijmen van der Helm will compete in its #5 GTP class Porsche 963 for the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

As previously announced, the dup will be joined by Phil Hanson for the five Michelin Endurance Cup races and 2023 GTE Am champion Ben Keating for the Rolex 24 Hours in January.

Van der Helm therefore returns to the Minnesota-based team for a second season in GTP and Keating rejoins the team after competing in its Cadillac DPi at the Rolex 24 Hours in 2022.

Notably, Keating’s Rolex 24 drive with JDC adds to his full-season LMP2 programme in IMSA with United Autosports, meaning he will be on double duty for the opening race of the season once again.

Westbrook also has previous history with the team as part of its 2022 Cadillac DPi programme. He brings a wealth of prototype experience to the team, including a full 2023 campaign in the FIA WEC as part of Cadillac Racing’s Hypercar driver roster.

“We were very pleased with our 2023 season with the Porsche 963 GTP,” said JDC-Miller managing partner John Church.

“Everything was new for all the GTP teams last year and we all gained a huge amount of knowledge. For 2024, we will have a balance of youth and experience, but more importantly, all our drivers will have extensive prototype experience in IMSA.

“This driver line-up, coupled with the support of Porsche Motorsports North America, will put us in the position to compete for wins in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship.”
