Gustav Birch and Simon Birch will anchor a full season GT World Challenge Europe Campaign with Danish squad GMB Motorsport crewing a new Aston Martin Vantage GT3
The pair will be joined by seven-time Danish champion Kasper H. Jensen for the five Endurance rounds.
2024 sees the team transition from the ACO rules package where they took a Michelin Le Mans Cup Championship win in 2022 with Honda before stepping into the ELMS for the final season in GTE with Aston Martin.
Team Principal Henrik Lundgaard: “There was never any doubt about who we wanted to man the car, and I am extremely satisfied that we succeeded with that plan. We have two lightning fast and not least hungry young talents in Simon and Gustav, and with the addition of Kasper’s experience and winning mentality, I think we have found an almost complete crew. Now we are just really looking forward to getting some heat in the tires and getting started with the final preparations for the season.”
Alongside the role of driver in the long-distance races, Kasper H. Jensen will also act as Driving Coach for his two young teammates.
“Kasper has been a mentor for our Junior Team for a long period, and we have been very satisfied with the work he has done with the young drivers, so it is only natural that we are now expanding that role. There are not many people who know more about winning races than Kasper, and we must make sure we utilize that knowledge.”
