Comtoyou Racing Confirms Trio Of AMR Factory Drivers For Endurance Cup

With new Vantage GT3

Belgian Aston Martin customer team Comtoyou Racing has confirmed that it will race with three factory drivers for its 2024 World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup campaign with the new Vantage GT3.

As part of the official launch for the centenary edition of the Spa 24 Hours this week, the team displayed its brand new Vantage and confirmed Nicki Thiim, Marco Sørensen and Mattia Drudi for the season.

“Unlike my previous appearances, Spa will not be a one-off, as we will be taking part in all five Endurance Cup races,” said 34-year-old Thiim.

“I am delighted to be competing in this championship, which is undoubtedly the toughest in the world of GT3 racing, with a large number of line-ups made up of official drivers. The Comtoyou Racing team has motivated me enormously and I am looking forward to starting the season with them.”

While Thiim and Sørensen are longstanding AMR drivers, Sprint Cup title winner Drudi joins Comtoyou as a new signing for AMR, joining its factory stable from Audi Sport.

“I am really looking forward to my first season as an official Aston Martin Racing driver,” said Drudi.

“And to share the car with such fast and experienced teammates as Nicki and Marco is an honour. In 2023, I witnessed Comtoyou’s GT debut as an opponent and they immediately demonstrated their potential. With the new Aston Martin Vantage GT3, I think we can have great ambitions.

“We have a busy month ahead of us with a great deal of testing, but I am confident that we will be ready for the first race of the season.”

The 2024 Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe season is Comtoyou’s first as an Aston Martin customer team. Like Drudi, it has made the switch to the British marque from Audi for 2024.

Its season will begin with the three-hour race at Circuit Paul Ricard on April 7th.
