The FIA WEC 6 Hours of Imola provisional entry list has been revealed, featuring just one notable change from the opening race in Qatar.
In the top class, Cadillac Racing’s #2 V-Series.R will be shared by full-season drivers Alex Lynn and Earl Bamber. The team will not compete with a third driver for the second race of the season after Cadillac IMSA GTP driver Sebastien Bourdais joined the team for the 1812km season-opener.
This move was expected. For 2024 Cadillac has opted to compete with two drivers for the full season, with additional guest drivers at select rounds including the Le Mans 24 Hours, when Ganassi IndyCar star Alex Palou will join Lynn and Bamber.
Elsewhere in Hypercar, Peugeot will debut its new 9X8 at Imola, though the model name remains the same despite its upgrades.
There are no other driver changes or additional entries. The list stays at 37 cars with 19 Hypercars and 18 LMGT3s for the WEC’s first race at the fabled Italian circuit.
The 2024 6 Hours of Imola is set for Sunday, April 21st.
