Reigning Formula E World Champion Jake Dennis is set to return to BMW’s factory driver roster and will compete in various GT3 races for the German brand for the remainder of the season.
Dennis, whose association with BMW Motorsort dates back to 2021, already has a GT3 race with BMW under his belt this year, havign taken part in the World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup opener at Paul Ricard with Century Motorsport.
This enhanced role will see him compete in additional endurance races with the British team after the Spa 24 Hours – which he will miss due to clashing Formula E commitments.
His next race in a BMW M4 GT3 will come before that though, as next month he will start alongside Jens Klingmann for BMW Italia Ceccato Racing in the Italian GT Championship. There, he will substitute for Max Hesse, who will be competing in the 24 Hours at the Nürburgring.
“I am very excited to continue my journey as a BMW M works driver,” Dennis said. “We have had a great partnership since 2021. I am really looking forward to the races that are still to come this season. Hopefully, we can fight for victories and podium finishes.”
