LMP & GT Machinery Set To Star At Silverstone Classic This Weekend

The Silverstone Classic this weekend one again includes racing for the burgeoning post historic Sportscar scene.

Masters Endurance Legends are fielding 37 cars for two races over the weekend including no fewer than 12 LMP1/ LMP900s.

That total includes:

A pair of 2011 Peugeot 90X diesels
;

Paul Cope’s unique Reynard ProTran RS06/H;

The unique ProTran

A pair of Ginetta Zytek 09S, one for father and son Lawrence and Freddie Tomlinson, the other featuring Mikkel Mac alongside Keith Freiser
;

Three Lola B12 coupes
Three Pescarolo LMP1 cars;
and
A Dallara SP1 Judd

An eight car field of LMP2s features Lola, Oreca, BR, HPD Morgan Pescarolo and a 2017 Ligier JS P217.

Aaron Scott, Bradley Ellis and Alfie Briggs are amongst the Pros looking to take LMP1 scalps!

That total is matched by an LMP3 entry of Ligiers and Norma/ Duqueines with 2015 ELMS LMP3 Champion Charlie Robertson back at the wheel of an LMP3, this time though in a Ligier.

Ex WEC LMP1 and LMP2 driver Ollie Webb is also in a Ligier JS P3.

A mixed bag of GT machinery includes a number of interesting machines including Cor Euser aboard his brutally extreme Marcos LM600 Evo.

The ex Rollcentre racing TVR Cerebra Speed 6 races with ex British GT racer Ian Stinton and Ross Wylie co-pilots Witt Gamski’s Bentley Continental GT3.

The Masters GT Trophy meanwhile sees a healthy grid of GT3, one-make and GT4 cars.

45 cars are listed including a pair of screaming BMW Z4 GT3s.

The field, oddly, includes invitational entries from a pair of brand new GT4 cars, a Toyota Supra Evo for Nigel Greensall and Harry Barton and a Ginetta G56 GT4 for Lawrence and Freddie Tomlinson.

Roald Goethe races his RoFGO Collection Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 with his regular driving partner Stuart Hall co-driving an Aston Martin GT4.

Other notable names include ex British GT racer Paul Whight (Motorsport Elise), Adam Sharpe (Mosler), Interactive Sportscar Champ James Pickford (Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo), Aaron Scott (Lamborghini Super Trofeo Evo), and Johnny Mowlem and Bon Grimes in a Ferrari 458 Challenge.
