Ben Hanley Signs With United For 2025 ELMS

First LMP2 Pro driver confirmed by the team

Rolex 24 and Le Mans class winner Ben Hanley has been confirmed for a 2025 European Le Mans Series campaign with United Autosports.

The 39-year-old Briton is the first driver named in the team’s #22 LMP2 class ORECA, following the team’s LMP2 Pro/Am line-up reveal earlier today.

Next season Hanley hopes to build on his successful track record in ELMS which includes 12 podiums, two race wins and five pole positions.

“I’m very happy to be back for another year,” says Hanley, “and really looking forward to getting back on track. In 2024, we started strong in ELMS, but we had a tricky end to the championship and didn’t end up where we deserved … so we are all determined to put that right in 2025.”

The 2025 ELMS season will be Hanley’s second with the team. In 2024 he combined an ELMS LMP2 effort with one in IMSA with the team.

“Ben [Hanley] is a fantastic driver and truly a valued part of the United Autosports team,” says Richard Dean, United Autosports CEO, “so of course we wanted him back for another season.

“This year, we’ve been on the ELMS podium, but we want much more. We can achieve so much more, and Ben will play a key role in realising those ambitions in 2025.”
