United Autosports has revealed its first 2025 European Le Mans Series driver trio, with Daniel Schneider, two-time Le Mans winner Oliver Jarvis and three-time ELMS race winner Marino Sato set to team up in its #21 LMP2 Pro/Am ORECA.
The 2025 campaign will be Bronze-graded Schneider’s third in the ELMS. The Brazilian will hope to build on his campaign this year, which included a podium finish at Le Castellet driving with Jarvis.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to return for another year with United Autosports,” says Schneider. “After two full seasons in ELMS, I believe we are ready to achieve great results – especially considering how fast and reliable my teammates Olly [Jarvis] and Marino [Sato] are! I’m excited to see what’s ahead!”
Jarvis, who won the LMP2 class at Le Mans this year with United Autosports, feels Schneider made “good progress” during his 2024 ELMS campaign.
“It’s great to be back with United Autosports and Daniel [Schneider] for another season,” he said. “The aim for 2025 is scoring more podiums, winning races and fighting for the championship … and having seen Daniel’s progression in 2024, I know he’s more than capable of that. Together with Marino Sato, who I’ve worked with before and is extremely quick, I think we make a very strong team.”
The addition of Marino Sato to the #21 crew signals a successful reunion for the 25-year-old Japanese racer, who will take the seat filled by Andy Meyrick in the 2024 season.
In 2023, Sato and Jarvis claimed the ELMS LMP2 vice-championship title with United Autosports, taking 50% of race victories along the way (4 Hours of Aragon, 4 Hours of Algarve and 4 Hours of Portimão).
“I am really pleased to continue my European Le Mans Series campaign with United Autosports, in addition to our WEC programme and I have to thank everyone who supports me and the team for their trust. I’ve had a great season in ELMS with Oliver in 2023, and I’ve been watching Daniel’s hard work and improvements this year. I am sure we can achieve strong results together.”
The 2025 ELMS season, which will get underway next April in Barcelona, will be United Autosports’ 10th consecutive season in the championship.
“The European Le Mans Series gets tougher and more exciting every year,” says Richard Dean, United Autosports CEO, “and with our LMP2 Pro/Am line-up, I am confident that we will be fighting at the front in 2025. Daniel [Schneider] has established himself as a confident, consistent racing driver in a very competitive LMP2 field. His development has been clear to see since taking the step up to the ELMS two years ago. Together with the combined skill and knowledge of Olly [Jarvis] and Marino [Sato], 2025 is set to be a successful season.”
Next year ,subject to confirmation from the ACO, United Autosports will also field its #22 ORECA 07 in the LMP2 (Pro) class. The first driver for that car is set to be announced imminently.
