Allied Racing Porsche
Allied Racing will enter DTM in 2025 for the first time and will bring two Porsche 911 GT3 R to the fray.
21-year-old Danish ex-Porsche Junior Bastian Buus will be joined by ex Audi racer Ricardo Feller, the 24 year old Swiss looking to add DTM Championship honours to an impressive cv that has seen ADAC GT Masters, GT World Challenge Sprint and endurance class Championships and a win at the Nurburgring 24 Hours since 2021.
Feller already has DTM race wins on his cv after three seasons with Abt Sportsline whilst Championship newcomer Buus has competed on al of the 2025 circuits bar one (the Norisring) courtesy of his time in Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland.
Bastian Buus: “I am really excited about my first DTM season. The DTM has been a big goal for me for many years.
“I am all about action-packed racing with overtaking manoeuvres and door-to-door battles. Without any crashes so far, though.”
“I am watching a lot of replays of DTM races, to see where you can gain an advantage as a driver. I also want to make sure I know the rules and regulations thoroughly, in order to be ready for any situation.”
Ricardo Feller: “The DTM means an awful lot to me. Making my debut in the 2022 season was a dream come true for me.
“As a Swiss driver, I have a close association with German motorsport. As a young boy, I used to watch the DTM races on television. However, I don’t just want to make up the numbers – I want to win. I tasted blood with my third place in 2023, and hope to back that up in the 2025 DTM.
“I have only spent one single day in the Porsche 911 GT3 R, but had the opportunity to familiarise myself with the car in both wet and dry conditions.
“After so many years, I knew the Audi like the back of my hand. With the move to Porsche, many new things await me. It will be important to get to know the car as fast as possible and to find out what kind of set-up configurations suit my driving style, so that I can feel comfortable in the car.
“My goal has not changed since my first day in the DTM: I want to win this championship. I cannot say yet whether I will be right up there at the top of the table in my first year with Porsche. I don’t know the car well enough yet. However, I will be doing everything in my power to achieve my goal as soon as possible.”
Dörr McLaren
After nine years with BMW, ex-F1 driver Timo Glock switches to McLaren for the 2025 DTM.
The 42-year-old German will be joined in a two-car Dörr Motorsport McLaren 720S GT3 Evo effort by 19-year-old Ben Dörr.
It will be Glock’s first appearance in DTM since a one-off in 2022 at Imola and he is looking forward to being back in the paddock, and on track:
“The contact and my passion for the DTM never really went away. I believe it is a very good and exciting project. Dörr Motorsport is looking to take the next step with me – which makes me proud. I am confident that I can help the team with my experience. I will play a central role in the structure of the team. Our goal is to consistently finish in the top ten in our second year. Maybe we could even pick up some podiums. I definitely feel ready, am fully motivated, and can hardly wait to go racing again. I am really looking forward to the challenge and to working with Rainer Dörr and the whole team. There is absolutely no doubt that I still have what it takes – I am utterly convinced of that.”
Dörr meanwhile is a McLaren Junior Pro Driver and part of the British sports car manufacturer’s youth development programme.
He will line up in his second year in the DTM and is looking forward to tapping into the experience of his team-mate: “It is a great honour to have such a successful and experienced team-mate as Timo at my side. I am sure I can learn a lot from him, both on and off the track.”
