GRT – Grasser Racing Team has revealed its first two driver line-ups for the 2025 GT World Challenge Europe season, as the Lamborghini squad adds the Sprint Cup to its programme for the first time since 2019.
Luca Engstler and Jordan Pepper will share the #63 Huracán GT3 Evo2 in the Pro class for the full season.
Pepper is the only returnee from the team’s successful 2024 campaign, which saw them win at the Nürburgring on their way to second in the Endurance Cup. They also recorded Lamborghini’s best ever finish at the 24 Hours of Spa, with fifth overall.
Engstler steps up to the Pro class having been made a Lamborghini factory driver over the off-season.
In 2024, he won the Gold Cup class in the Sprint Cup for Liqui Moly Team Engstler by OneGroup.
Engstler and Pepper will also drive for Grasser in the DTM this year.
2017 GT World Challenge Europe champion Mirko Bortolotti will join the crew at the Endurance Cup rounds. Bortolotti previously raced for Grasser in the championship from 2015 to 2019, including during his title winning campaign.
The #19, which will compete in the Silver Cup, features Ivan Ekelchik and Baptiste Moulin for the full season.
Ekelchik, a race winner in ADAC GT4 Germany last season, is making the step up to GT3 competition for the first time. Moulin, on the other hand, has plenty of GT3 experience. The Belgian driver has made five starts at the 24 Hours of Spa, including with Grasser last year.
Dante Rappange, who raced for Comtoyou Racing last season, completes the squad in the Endurance Cup. Rappange will be competing against his brother Jop, who is set to drive Dinamic GT’s #54 Porsche 911 GT3.R (992).
“I’m delighted that we’ll be racing the full season in the Sprint and Endurance Cup again – with two very strong cars in the Pro and Silver categories,” said team principal Gottfried Grasser.
“With Luca and Jordan for the whole season and Mirko as reinforcement in the Endurance races, we clearly want to compete for the title.
“In Baptiste, we have an old friend in the car who already impressed us with his talent last year. Ivan has also delivered strong performances in various GT4 series. I’m sure that both will be able to have a say in the Silver Cup with their skills – and with Dante on board, certainly in the Endurance Cup as well.
“In 2025 we are in a stronger position than we have been for a long time. I am convinced that we can fight on the top and win in all classifications.”
Grasser is set to field a third Huracán in the Sprint Cup. The drivers for this effort, which will compete in the Bronze Cup class, will be announced at a later date.
The 2025 GT World Challenge Europe season begins with the Prologue next week at Circuit Paul Ricard on 10/11 March. The same venue will host the season opener on 11-13 April.
