A gaggle of teams have announced their plans to join the Ligier European Series in 2025, with the entry understood by DSC to have taken a step forward from recent seasons.
Nielsen Racing JSP4
Nielsen Racing is set to continue its journey in the Ligier European Series with a second season in the championship in 2025.
The team will once again field a Ligier JS P4, with returning driver Ben Caisley joined by new teammate Josh Steed.
Ben Caisley remains with Nielsen Racing after a promising first season in the series, aiming to build on his experience and convert it into podium finishes.
He will be partnered by Josh Steed as he makes his debut in the Ligier European Series, making the switch from Ginetta and GT4 competition to prototype racing.
Team Virage 3 x JSP4
The three-time JS P4 champions have confirmed a return with three full-season Ligier JSP4s.
In addition to the already announced Jude Peters and Vic Stevens Virage will field two more cars:
Emirasti sisters and second generation sportscar racers Amna and Hamda Al Qubaisi will make their sports prototype debuts in 2025 after several seasons in karting and junior single seaters, including starts in F1 Academy for both. It will be the first toime that the two girls have shared a car.
Their father Khaled Al Qubaisi was a long-time entrant in GT racing scoring a pair of FIA WEC race wins in GTE Am and a pair of overall wins at the 24H Dubai.
The trio of Virage entries is completed with a Swiss driving duo making their Series debuts: Laura Villars and Dario Cabanelas
ASM Motorsport 2 x JSP4
ASM Motorsport have confirmed a pair of JSP4s with the first car crew confirmed as Luis Carlos Perez and Ruben Hage.
Andre Viera will pilot the team’s #44 JSP4.
ANS Motorsport JSP4
British single-seater racer and sportscar debutant Maxwell Dodds will join 2024 Rookie of the Year Iko Segret.
Trajectus Motorsport JSP4 & JS2R
A new team meanwhile is set to add two cars to the entry in 2025.
Trajectus Motorsport is the brainchild of multiple Le Mans 24 Hours winner Benoit Treluyer.
His squad steps into the ELMS paddock on the first rung of the ladder with a JSP4 entry for an all-French driver lineup: Mathis Poulet and Vincent Bouteiller. The JSP4 entry follows on from an effort in the JS Cup France for the squad.
The team has also confirmed a Ligier JS2R for Martin Lacquemanne, another graduate from JS Cup France.
LR Motorsport JSP4 & JS2R
`The team owned by Luca Riccitelli is back for another season in the Ligier European Series and is another squad to field a car apiece in each class.
Their Ligier JS P4 will be piloted by Pietro Ferri & Michael Bulzacchelli with Simone Riccitelli returning in a JS2R.
Loire Valley Racing – JSP4
Another team debuting in the Ligier European Series, Loire Valley Racing will field Romain Boeckler who clinched the Junior title in the 2024 Ligier JS Cup France behind the wheel of the team’s Ligier JS2 R.
Team and driver make the step up as part of the Ligier Junior programme.
Pegasus Racing JSP4 x2 & JS2R
Julien Schell and David Caussanel, 2024 JS2 R champions, move up to the JS P4 category with the support of the €100,000 prize awarded to the winning drivers but will drive separate cars in 2025.
Ligier JS P4 #29 – Julien Schell & series newcomer Nano Lopez;
Ligier JS P4 #16 – Yuki Tanaka & David Caussanel;
Ligier JS2 R #94 – Alain & Jordan Meyer, the latter stepping up to his first full season effort in the Series after a number of one-offs – a father-son duo!

23 Events Racing! The team is making its debut in the series, racing in the Ligier JS2 R category with August Therbo.
