A surprise late entry to the 2025 DTM has come from Land-Motorsport with a solo Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo2 in the capable hands of Ricardo Feller.
The Swiss racer has two DTM race wins and a further five podium finishes already on his cv from three seasons in the Championship.
“Everything has fallen into place perfectly, and I am so glad to be racing in the DTM with Land-Motorsport,” says Feller. “The last few weeks have been really energy sapping for me. The discontinuation of my actual DTM programme hit me hard, as everything was uncertain for me. I am particularly grateful to Christian and Wolfgang Land for leaving no stone unturned. I would also like to thank Porsche for releasing me.”
That statement from Feller refers to the failure of his initially planned DTM effort with the now apparently defunct Allied-Racing.
“Ricardo was originally supposed to be racing for another team in the DTM. However, that project fell through a few weeks ago,” says team manager Christian Land. “That soon led to us cooperating closely to get an alternative programme up and running for him.”
“Ever since my first day in the DTM, my goal has not changed: I want to win this championship,” stresses 24-year-old Feller. The first test awaits the driver from Aarau at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, the venue for the opening round of the DTM season from 25th to 27th April. Feller’s first encounter with his DTM rivals will be in Oschersleben on 2nd April, when the circuit hosts the official pre-season test and Media Day – the dress rehearsal for the 2025 season.
