Grasser Racing Finalises World Challenge Europe Driver Roster

Grasser Racing Team has completed its driver line-up for the 2025 GT World Challenge Europe season.

Christian Engelhart and Georgi Donchev will drive the #1 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2 in the Sprint Cup, alongside Grasser’s previously announced #19 and #63 line-ups of Ivan Ekelchik/Baptiste Moulin and Luca Engstler/Jordan Pepper.

Engelhart, who won the overall and endurance drivers’ titles with Grasser in 2017, missed the majority of the 2024 season following a knee injury.

Donchev is making the step up to GT3 machinery in 2025, having focused on one-make Porsche racing in recent years. The duo will compete in the Bronze Cup class.

GRT has also confirmed that Jiatong Liang will join the team’s Silver Cup effort at the 24 Hours of Spa.

Liang, who is driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for Craft-Bamboo Racing in GT World Challenge Asia this season, will share the #19 Huracán GT3 Evo2 with Ekelchik, Moulin and Dante Rappange at GT World Challenge Europe’s blue-riband event.

“To continue our successful co-operation with Christian in the Sprint Cup means a lot to us,” said Team Principal Gottfried Grasser.

“He has fought his way back from injury last season and we are looking forward to competing with him again in a championship as strong as the GT World Challenge Europe.

“It will be a new adventure for Georgi, but he has already shown in other series that he knows his trade. He is an excellent bronze driver and will form a powerful duo with Christian in the cup. I am sure that the two of them have a chance of winning the class.

“In Jiatong, we have found an experienced and fast guy for the Spa 24 Hours to complete our line-up in the number 19 car and be competitive in the Silver Cup. We can’t wait to go racing with these strong drivers in the GT World Challenge Europe.”

The first Bronze Cup event during the 2025 GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup season takes place at Circuit Zandvoort on 17/18 May.
