Mercedes-AMG Motorsport has confirmed a new homologation for the Mercedes-AMG GT4 from SRO and the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium (RACB).
The new homologation comes into effect immediately and is valid until 2029.
The GT4 car, which has been available since 2018, has only been minimally modified for the new homologation.
In particular, the engine has been further developed for improved drivability.
New regulations stipulate the mandatory use of natural fibre reinforced plastic (NFK) components on the front splitter and rear wing, as well as FIA-compliant rain lights. The shock absorbers on the rear axle have also been revised.
Mercedes-AMG Motorsport is offering a re-homologation kit with all of the relevant components at the cost of 7,990 Euros.
The new kit ensures that current owners and teams can be assured of the long-term use of their cars. There are a small number of cars still in stock at Mercedes-AMG, with no current plans to extend the production run.
