Robert Noaker has been moved to the back of the grid for both races of the Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational due to a technical infraction discovered in post-qualifying tech.
With Noaker slated to start on pole for both races, the change moves Cameron McLeod to pole for both Race 1 and 2, with Sam Paley starting alongside. The grid for Race 1 was based on the fastest times in this morning’s qualifying session, while the second-quickest times determined the starting order for Saturday’s race.
Noaker’s #13 Robert Noaker Racing Mustang Dark Horse R was found to be in breach of Article 7.4.5 of the Mustang Challenge technical regulations, due to a non-conformance of the splitter ride height minimum.
Defending Mustang Challenge champion Noaker had dominated the two practice sessions and qualifying, although one practice and qualifying were both abbreviated due to red flags. Due to the infraction, all of Noaker’s times in qualifying were deleted.
