Penske Appoints Diuguid & Law To Greater Leadership Roles

Porsche Penske Motorsport IMSA and WEC leaders will also oversee Team Penske IndyCar Series programme

Team Penske has announced that longtime associates Jonathan Diuguid and Travis Law have been promoted to new leadership roles, overseeing not only Porsche Penske Motorsport’s programmes in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship, but also Team Penske’s NTT IndyCar Series team.

Diuguid has been promoted to President of Penske Racing, Inc., while Law has been named Competition Director for Penske Racing. Together, they have been with the Penske organisation for 38 years and contributed to multiple championship-winning efforts in both sports car racing and IndyCar.

In less than three seasons as the Managing Director of Porsche Penske Motorsport, Diuguid led the global sports car program to consecutive wins in the 2024 and 2025 24 Hours of Daytona, a victory in the 2025 12 Hours of Sebring, the 2024 IMSA GTP Championship, and the 2024 World Endurance Drivers’ Championship.

The Raleigh, North Carolina native joined Penske in 2005, beginning with Penske’s successful Porsche RS Spyder LMP2 programme. He then worked as an IndyCar race engineer for Penske for seven years, before taking on his most recent leadership role with Porsche Penske Motorsport.

“The opportunity to lead the Team Penske efforts across the IndyCar Series, IMSA and WEC is a tremendous responsibility, and the feeling of being trusted to lead these teams is a great honour,” said Diuguid. “After two decades working for Roger Penske, I truly know and understand what the Penske name means in the world of motorsports. The best way I know to show my appreciation to him for his trust is to ensure our success continues well into the future.”

Law, from Maquoketa, Iowa, joined Penske in 2007 as an IndyCar tyre specialist and rose through the ranks to become a championship-winning chief mechanic for two-time IndyCar Series champion Josef Newgarden. Like Diuguid, he also worked with the successful Porsche Penske RS Spyder programme in the American Le Mans Series. Law most recently served as the Competition Director for Porsche Penske Motorsport, before being promoted to his new role within the organisation.

“Success is what is expected at Team Penske,” stated Law. “Roger Penske is someone that leads by example. When we get to the racetrack, we know we have the support of someone who has achieved at the highest levels. I am ready to get to work.”

While continuing to manage the IMSA and WEC operations, the new IndyCar leadership structure of Diuguid and Law replaces the previous management of President of Team Penske IndyCar operations Tim Cindric, former IndyCar Managing Director Ron Ruzewski, and IndyCar programme General Manager Kyle Moyer, who were all fired from the organisation on 21 May after a significant cheating scandal during time trials for this year’s Indianapolis 500.

Penske’s NASCAR programmes, led by President Michael Nelson and Vice President of Competition Travis Geisler, remain unchanged.
