Steller Motorsport has revealed that Alec Udell will join the team for next weekend’s GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup round at the Nürburgring.
Udell will share Steller’s #24 Corvette Z06 GT3.R with regular drivers Daniel Ali and Lorcan Hanafin in the Silver Cup class.
The 29-year-old American driver will be making his debut in GT World Challenge Europe, but arrives at the team with a wealth of Z06 GT3.R experience.
With eight victories, Udell and his 2024 GT World Challenge America co-driver Tommy Milner have scored the most wins of anyone behind the wheel of the latest GT3 Corvette.
Following a mid-season debut, Udell and Milner dominated GT World Challenge America’s Pro class last term, winning eight consecutive races for DXDT Racing. Udell and DXDT have since moved to the IMSA Sportscar Championship’s GTD class, and last month recorded a best finish of fourth at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
Steller Motorsport currently sit fifth in the Silver Cup Teams’ Endurance standings, following a strong start to the season headlined by a second-place finish at the Circuit Paul Ricard season opener. At only 26 points behind current leaders Century Motorsport, the British squad remains in contention to fight for a title during their first season with the Z06 GT3.R.
The penultimate round of the 2025 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup takes place at the Nürburgring from 29-31 August.
