TDS Racing has become the latest team to declare its intention for the next-generation of LMP2 regulations, with the French squad confirming it will race the ORECA 09 chassis in 2028.
TDS Racing began its second, current spell as an ORECA customer in 2015, and this year is fielding two cars in the European Le Mans Series, as well as a single entry in the IMSA Sportscar Championship.
With ORECA, it has won three European Le Mans Series titles, as well as two IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup crowns and the 2021 FIA WEC LMP2 Pro/Am championship. It has also finished on the podium of the 24 Hours of Le Mans seven times.
It also currently leads the ELMS as the technical partner of Forestier Racing by Panis, a relationship which is set to come to an end in 2028 with Panis Racing having announced a switch to Ligier for 2028 last week.

For TDS Racing, choosing ORECA was therefore a natural decision as we embarked on this new chapter in LMP2.”

TDS Racing joins United Autosports and Duqueine Team as confirmed ORECA customers for 2028.
The next-generation of LMP2 regulations, which will see ORECA and Ligier feature as the two approved chassis suppliers, will debut in ACO competition in 2028, before being eligible for the IMSA SportsCar Championship from 2029 onwards.
