RLR Ligier Back On Track After Chassis Damage
RLR MSport’s title defending LMP3 Ligier is set to be back on track for Friday’s Free Practice session after a Herculean effort by the team to rebuild the #15 Ligier JS P325, which struck a loose drain cover at the top of Raidillon during Wednesday’s official test.
The impact caused irreparable damage to the chassis and the team was forced into building a brand new car around a replacement tub in time for Friday’s first European Le Mans Series free practice session at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
The job was completed by Thursdsay afternoon.
Algarve Pro Set To Defend Asian LMS Title
Multiple and reigning Asian LMS Champions Algarve Pro Racing are set to defend their title with a two-car entry in the 2025/26 Asian Le Mans Series, which begins on the 13/14 December with the 4 Hours of Sepang in Malaysia.

Last season Algarve Pro Racing’s #25 Oreca-Gibson took the overall title at the end of the six-race series. Malthe Jakobsen added a second ALMS title to his impressive racing CV, and along with fellow Dane Michael Jensen and Italian Valerio Rinicella, securing three wins, one in Sepang, one in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi.
Stewart Cox, Algarve Pro Racing Team Principal, said: “Algarve Pro Racing will enter two cars in the 2025-26 Asian Le Mans Series, and we will announce our driver line-up in due course. It has always been a serious championship that’s hard to win. There’s a lot of talk about which teams and drivers will be on the grid and nobody goes to mess around – everybody wants to win it. Of course, we have pretty much been there from the beginning and we’re going with the mindset to win, extending our record as a five-time Asian Le Mans Champion and secure another 24 Hours of Le Mans entry.
“There’s no real secret to winning – preparation is the key to everything, because there is a lot of running in a short space of time and cars get a lot of abuse. However, we turn up to every round with cars that are built to do a 24-hour race. Frustratingly, a mistake cost us a one-two in the 2024-25 championship, but you learn and it’s something that won’t happen again.
“Our annual calendar consists of more than 30 events, including testing, and one thing that’s particularly positive about competing in the Asian Le Mans Series is that it visits some amazing countries and generally provides the people who work so hard within motorsport paddocks all year to take a holiday.
“The 4 Hours of Sepang takes place not long before Christmas and gives an opportunity to get out to South-East Asia with your family, and you might even get some downtime before the 4 Hours of Dubai. On the whole, there are plenty of reasons to look forward to the Asian Le Mans Series.”
