SRO Confirms Sprint & Endurance Cup Rounds For GT World Challenge Europe

Portimão set to host three-hour Endruance race in return to calendar

SRO has released an updated 2026 GT World Challenge Europe calendar, revealing which events will be part of the Sprint and Endurance Cups.

The schedule features the same venues, on the same dates, as the original version unveiled at the 24 Hours of Spa, with the only change being the inclusion of race formats.

The headline reveal is confirmation that the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portimāo, will play host to a three-hour Endurance Cup round, as part of its return to the GT World Challenge Europe calendar for the first time since 2015. It will be the first time that the Portuguese venue hosts an Endurance Cup event, having only featured in the Sprint Cup during its previous run on the schedule.

The Endurance Cup again begins with a six-hour race at Circuit Paul Ricard in April, followed by a three-hour event at Monza, and the 24 Hours of Spa. Further three-hour races at the Nürburgring and the aforementioned Portimāo complete the five-round calendar.

The Sprint Cup, meanwhile, will open at Brands Hatch on 2nd and 3rd May, before events at Misano, Magny-Cours, Zandvoort and Barcelona.

Barcelona has reverted to the Sprint Cup format it last used in 2024, having returned to the Endurance Cup calendar for this season. The Spanish venue is the only returning circuit to have changed format for 2026, with the other eight tracks retained from this year maintaining their current formats.
