Chinese outfit Team KRC will make its debut at the Bathurst 12 Hour next year, fielding the first privateer BMW M4 GT3 to take on Australia’s international endurance race.
Its #89 M4 GT3 Evo will compete in the Bronze class, sporting a special Australia-themed livery, with its driver line-up to be confirmed at a later date.
Team KRC competed in GT World Challenge Asia this year, with its line-up of Maxime Oosten and Ruan Cun Fan winning the Silver-Am drivers’ championship on their way to fifth in the overall standings.
This pairing, alongside Neil Verhagen, also finished second in Bronze at September’s Suzuka 1000KM, whilst the team ran Augusto Farfus to second overall at last year’s FIA GT World Cup in Macau.
Since the BMW M4 GT3 debuted at the Bathurst 12 Hour in 2023, it has only been fielded by the works supported Team WRT outfit, who finished 1-2 this year.
2026 will therefore be the first time a privateer BMW M4 GT3 has competed at the race, as well as being the Bathurst debut of the Evo-spec version of the car, with last year’s race the final top level outing for the first-generation M4 GT3.
The 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour, the opening round of the 2026 Intercontinental GT Challenge, will be held from 13th to 15th February 2026.
