ACI Sport, the organiser of the Italian GT Championship, has announced plans to launch a series for GT4 cars in 2026.
A five-round schedule has been proposed, with each event featuring two races of 50 minutes plus one lap.
Two rounds would support GT Sprint, two rounds would support GT Endurance, and one round would run as an independent event. The exact list of dates and venues proposed has not been released.
The series will contain both Pro-Am and Am classes, and has been created based off of multiple expressions of strong interest.
The Italian GT Championship currently caters to both GT3 and one-make GT Cup machinery. GT4 machinery was last eligible for the series in 2021.
