The road to the introduction of Pro-Am crewed Hypercars into the Asian Le Mans Series for the 2026/ 2027 season started this morning with BBM Sport collecting a pair of ex factory Gen 1 (2022-2024) Peugeot 9X8s from the Peugeot Sport team.
The UK-based operation, known for their Group C, LMP and GT restoration and car preparation, are set to campaign a pair of the ‘wingless wonders’ next season with two current Bronze-ranked drivers already signed.
The Gen 1 9X8s were retired from factory service after the opening round of the 2024 FIA WEC at Qatar.

DSC currently anticipates an entry of at least six Hypercars for the opening season with the class in Asia across at least three current major manufacturers.
