AF Corse Reveal Daytona Crew For GTD & Add LMP2 Entry

AF Corse has announced its driver line-up for the 2026 24 Hours of Daytona, where the team has added a one-off LMP2 entry to its previously confirmed GTD car for the IMSA Sportscar Championship season opener.

The Italian outfit only had one car listed on the full-season entry list revealed in October, the #21 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo in GTD, which is set to defend the title AF Corse won in the five-round Michelin Endurance Cup this year.

The team has now confirmed that it will be joined at Daytona by the #83 ORECA 07-Gibson LMP2, maintaining AF Corse’s presence in the LMP2 category at Daytona for the fourth consecutive year, despite it stepping back from an Endurance Cup programme.

In the #21 Ferrari, Lilou Wadoux and Simon Mann will defend their drivers’ title, with 2024 Le Mans winner Antonio Fuoco replacing fellow factory ace Alessandro Pier Guidi as the crew’s professional driver.

Fuoco has raced part-time in IMSA for the past five seasons with the AF Corse-supported Cetilar Racing squad, which is not set to return in 2026.

At Daytona, this trio will be joined by IMSA debutant Tommaso Mosca, who finished as runner-up in the International GT Open with AF Corse this year, and has also contested the past two editions of the 24 Hours of Spa with the team.

The #83 ORECA, meanwhile, will feature François Perrodo, Matthieu Vaxivière, Nicklas Nielsen and Dylan Murry.

Both Vaxivière and Nielsen are regular co-drivers of Perrodo, having won titles with the Frenchman in the European Le Mans Series and FIA World Endurance Championship respectively.

They most recently shared a car together at this year’s European Le Mans Series race at Circuit Paul Ricard, where Nielsen stepped in as a one-off replacement for Alessio Rovera alongside two-time LMP2 Pro/Am champions Vaxivière and Perrodo.

24-year-old Murry is reprising his fourth driver role with AF Corse from last season’s Rolex 24, when he competed alongside Nielsen, Vaxivière and Luis Pérez Companc, whilst Perrodo is set to make his first IMSA first since 2023.

The 2026 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, the opening round of the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship season, will take place on 21st to 25th January 2026.
