Peugeot TotalEnergies has announced that Emmanuel Esnault will take on the role of team principal for its FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar programme from 2026 onwards.
Esnault fills the role of Team Principal left empty following Olivier Jansonnie’s promotion to Head of Stellantis Motorsport, a position Jansonnie is taking over due to the impending retirement of Jean-Marc Finot.
The Frenchman has joined Peugeot from DC Racing Solutions, the parent organisation of Iron Lynx, Iron Dames and Prema Racing.
Here, Esnault worked as Project Director for Lamborghini Iron Lynx’s SC63 LMDh programme in 2024, before taking on an overarching role within the DC Racing organisation in 2025.
Esnault has worked in motorsport for over 30 years, with his experience dating back to volunteering as a mechanic with Courage Compétition at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the early 1990s.
