Tresor Competition Attempto Racing has signed reigning Italian GT Sprint Champion Andrea Frassineti for 2026, for a programme in both GT World Challenge Europe and Italian GT Championship.
Frassineti will take on the Sprint and Endurance Cups in both series, behind the wheel of an Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II.
The 19-year-old joins Tresor Competition from Lamborghini outfit VSR, with whom he contested the Italian GT Sprint and select GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup rounds in 2025.
“Joining Tresor Competition with a programme of this level represents a very important step in my career,” Frassineti said.
“We found in them the right choice for 2026, with a complete and well-prepared team that has extensive experience in these championships, proven by the results achieved in recent seasons, and that can guarantee competitiveness and performance across all four series.
“Tackling the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS and the Italian Gran Turismo Championship, both Sprint and Endurance, at the same time is a demanding but extremely motivating challenge. From the very beginning, I felt trust and a clear vision for my development: now the focus is on working methodically and consistently to grow race by race.”
This is Tresor Attempto, and Audi’s, first announced entry into GT World Challenge Europe for 2026. The Italian-German collaboration, which won the 2023 Sprint Cup title and the Bronze Cup class at the 24 Hour of Spa, fielded three cars in the series last year.
Federico Geri, Tresor Competition Team Principal, commented: “It was my clear intention to include Andrea in the 2026 project. Tresor has always believed in young drivers who demonstrate not only speed, but also approach, discipline and the ability to evolve over time. Andrea perfectly reflects these qualities. The programme we have defined is very demanding and requires focus, preparation and an appropriate structure, aspects we work on every day. I am confident that we will achieve more than a few satisfying results together.”
