The 2026 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge starts this afternoon with the first of two 45-minute sprint races at Daytona International Speedway.
It’s the first race for the newest generation of LMP3 cars, three new Ligier JS P325s will be racing against the previous generation of LMP3s and sharing the track with GT4 cars in the GSX class, for a total of 22 cars.
Óscar Tunjo, in a second-generation Duqueine D08 LMP3, starts on the pole for today’s race, while highly-touted GSX rookie Westin Workman starts up front in his Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2. (QUALIFYING RESULTS)
