BMW M Motorsport has finalised its 2026 works driver line-up, with the signing of Tim Tramnitz.
21-year-old Tramnitz, who has focused on single-seater racing so far in his career and finished fourth in FIA Formula 3 last season, impressed during a junior driver evaluation held with a BMW M4 GT3 EVO last month.
The German is now the youngest member of BMW’s factory roster, and joins the previously announced Jordan Pepper as a new signing for BMW M ahead of the 2026 season.
Tramnitz is set to contest select races this year, as part of an unconfirmed GT programme.
“I am super happy to now be part of the BMW M Motorsport family and look forward to the challenge,” Tramnitz said.
“For me, this is a big step, as I have dreamed of becoming a works driver for a major manufacturer since my time in karting. I would like to thank everyone involved for their trust and can’t wait to contest my first races at the wheel of the BMW M4 GT3 EVO.”
Tramnitz and Pepper have replaced Jesse Krohn and Madison Snow on BMW M’s works roster, which has stayed at 23 drivers for 2026.

“In January, we evaluated several junior drivers during a test in the BMW M4 GT3 EVO, as we deliberately wanted to add another young member to our line-up. Tim impressed us with his performance and steep learning curve during his GT3 race car debut. I am sure we will have a lot of joy with him in the future.
“In general, we once again have a very strong works driver squad in 2026, with an excellent mix of youth and experience. We are well prepared for the extensive race programme ahead of us with the BMW M Hybrid V8 and the BMW M4 GT3 EVO.
