Joe Wheeler has completed Fox Motorsport’s 2026 British GT driver line-up ahead of the team’s much-anticipated comeback to the championship.
He will share driving duties with already-announced James Townsend in the #40 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 Evo, unveiled in a dark crimson and pink livery.
Wheeler is entering his fourth British GT season, with the 22-year-old having debuted in 2022. He holds five GT4 Pro-Am podium finishes to his name so far.

Both drivers teamed up at the Donington Decider last year and await the GT4 Pro-Am class effort ahead of them.
“I can’t wait for the season to start with Townsend Racing powered by Fox Motorsport,” said Wheeler.
“I know James well from our time together previously in British GT, and with Fox being a proven race-winning British GT team in both GT4 and GT3, I don’t think we could be in a stronger position.”

Team principal Paul McNeilly added, “It’s fantastic to welcome Joe to Townsend Racing powered by Fox Motorsport for the 2026 season.
“He and James know each other well from having driven in the same British GT team previously, so we know already that they have a strong working relationship.
“We’ll use the time we have pre-season to get both drivers used to the Aston Martin, so we can start the season in the strongest position possible.”
The team will debut their new livery on track during testing later this week on Thursday, 26th February at Silverstone.
Fox Motorsport will return to the venue for the Media Day testing on 31 March, followed by the season-opening Silverstone 500 on 25-26 April, hosting a three-hour enduro to commence the 34th British GT season.
