Turner Motorsport has confirmed its plans for the 2026 GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season. Coming off of back-to-back Pro-Am class titles, drivers Justin Rothberg and Robby Foley will return for a third season together in the #29 BMW M4 GT3 EVO – this time, challenging for the Pro title.
Over the past two seasons, the duo of Rothberg and BMW M works driver Foley have taken seven Pro-Am class wins and 12 podiums in the #29 BMW M4 GT3. In 2024, they parlayed what was meant to be a learning year for Rothberg into a come-from-behind championship title, clinched during the season-ending Indianapolis 8 Hour. Last year, with the introduction of the M4 GT3 EVO, the duo led wire-to-wire on the way to their second Pro-Am title, despite carrying multiple success handicaps tied to Rothberg’s status as a “derogated Bronze” driver.
With Rothberg now competing as a Silver-graded driver, he’ll make GT World America his sole focus in 2026 – no longer competing in the GT America powered by AWS sprint series after winning back-to-back SRO3 (GT3) class titles.
This will be Turner Motorsports’ first Pro entry in GT World America since 2022, when Foley and Michael Dinan drove the team’s then-new M4 GT3.
Rothberg said: “I’m super excited to be returning to World Challenge this season with Robby, Turner Motorsport, and Laticrete. This season will definitely be a challenge moving up to the Pro class, but I think we’ve got a great team and playbook to maximize our chances at success. I know Robby and everyone at Turner are ready for the occasion, and I’ll just have to get used to chasing faster rabbits, and we’ll see what we can do!”
“I’m excited to be back with Justin for the 2026 season, debuting a new look for our Laticrete BMW M4 GT3 EVO. We had a dream run winning three championships across 2024 and 2025, and we’re excited to take the next step into the Pro class,” said Foley. “It’s going to be a tough challenge, but with the continuity within our team, I’m confident we can fight at the front.”
Team owner and namesake Will Turner added, “I’m looking forward to racing again in SRO with Justin and Robby. Having won three championships with this pair the last two years, I’m optimistic that they will be contenders in the Pro/Pro class every weekend!”
